The Mutelcor smart CO2 Sensor stands out due to it constantly monitors for CO2 (carbon-dioxide) & also creates an alarm locally & sends an alert message when high CO2 gases are present in a room.

Other sensors are battery operated and only perform measurements every 5 - 10 minutes. By this time it is worthless to have a CO2 sensor which reacts in this time frame as by then it's already way too late.
How The CO2 Meter Works
The Mutelcor smart CO2 Sensor does two things when triggered. It creates a direct alert on the Device (Buzzer and Light ) & also notifies building management via SMS & email in real time.
- At 800 ppm (parts per million), the LED glows Yellow constantly
- At 1000 ppm, the LED glows Red constantly
- If CO2 values remain above 1450 ppm, the 2 buzzer sounds for 5 seconds every 10 minutes
- When CO2 values falls back to:

- Below 1450 ppm, the Red LED stops flashing but remains on

- Below 950 ppm, the Red LED goes off and Yellow LED goes on

- Below 750 ppm LED goes off
- At 800 ppm, the LED glows Yellow constantly

An alert message can also be sent by email & sms to building management at each alert level.

Carbon dioxide is generated by the exhaled air of people who stay indoors. Each person in a building will exhale approximately eight litres of air per minute: air that has been in close contact with the lung tissue. Alongside CO2 at a concentration around 40,000 parts per million (ppm), the exhalation also contains tiny liquid droplets (aerosols) which, due to their size, can float in the air for a long time. These droplets will contain any virus particles present in the lungs. Research shows a method to mitigate infection can be implemented with CO2 monitors on site.
